Okay so now that you have a little background, I have to tell you about this cake I had on Sunday. Now I am not a cake person. I am a photographer, so I see cake all the time! ALL THE TIME! But if you put a piece of coconut cream pie in front of me, it will be gone before you can get yourself a piece! I promise. I love pie. But this cake was special. A dear friend of ours, Mama Judy is what we call her, invited us over for dinner after church! Now if you knew Mama Judy you would  know that this meant that you wear loose fitting clothes to her house because you are going to eat way too much, but it will be oh so worth it! Her food is delectable!

She made us this cake to have after dinner, and I not only had a piece, but I brought a piece home to enjoy at Ami’s nap time on Monday. So here are a few pictures of this delicious cake that I devoured in record time! Enjoy! (I did)

My husband headed to the attic and started bringing down the bins of clothes. I told him I would start to go through the bins as he brought them down. Well much to my surprise he kept going back to the attic. As he brought the last bin down we just stood there in awe. There were 11 bins full, FULL of clothes for our 2 year old!

In this moment we realized two things… Number #1: We are SO blessed! We not only have 11 bins of old outgrown clothes but another 3 bins of clothes that he has yet to even wear and fit into. And #2: grandmothers don’t know when enough is enough! But we love them anyways and are so thankful that they do what they do and buy what they buy!

I will be starting Review Mondays! This will be a review of all wedding related businesses in NE Ohio (or anywhere else for that matter) and other locations I have had weddings. This will allow you to get to know other vendors that you will need for your day. I will start off with NE Ohio because that is where I started out. The first review will be on Monday February 1st!

I believe in education for my brides. I think that they have a right to know who is good, who is not so good and who they shouldn’t live without for their wedding day.  I believe in supporting other businesses that are trying to do good and help brides make their wedding everything that it should be! I am so excited to get this started and can’t wait to work with some wonderful vendors that are already lined up! I know that this will be a great opportunity for brides to see who is out there and what they will have to look forward to for their wedding.

Well when I had my son, I was told: Now you have someone to play with in the snow…Ummm NO! I don’t play in the snow. I don’t sled, ski, snowboard or ice skate. So I had no intention of being the person to introduce Ami to the wonderful and cold world of winter and snow.

This morning, as we were looking out the window he says: Mom lets play in the snow! UGH WHY! So I asked him…are you sure? It is very very cold! Now I know some of you may think I am mean, but it is very very cold! Well I am the best mom ever! After layering up and putting his boots and gloves and 2 pairs of socks and scarf and hat on we were ready to go.

As my 2-year-old Ami yelled at the men to stop and fix it fix it, I grabbed my camera and caught a few pictures of the process. Now never seeing a house being torn down, other than on Extreme Home Makeover, I had no idea the speed and accuracy of a house demolition. The entire process took all of 10 minutes. It was amazing and sad at the same time.

But anyways, I came home to a huge stack of mail and found this small letter that brought a smile to my face…

This is a letter and cute decal from the google local business center and google maps to let me know that my business has been frequented so many times in the last six months. This makes me a favorite place on google maps and this makes me happy!

If you don’t have your business listed on google maps, I would suggest you give it a try. It is a free service and allows your business and location to be seen on a google search.

With 2009 only a few days gone, I am ready for what this year will hold! There were great things that happened last year and not so great things…but I am looking to the future with all expectancy that this year 2010 will be phenomenal!

There are so many exciting things that are going to be happening this year! I am so excited for this year to begin, so I can start new projects and finally finish others. I have set huge goals for myself and my business for 2010 and want to not only meet these goals but exceed them by leaps and bounds!

For Lisa Nikole, we have some exciting contests, promotions, and some other BIG announcements and exciting things happening in the upcoming months!

I have also set some new year’s resolutions for myself that I look forward to working on and out. Here are a few of my resolutions this year:

1. I want to read a book a week. Yes I know, it sounds like a bit much, or maybe even pointless, but I want to do this!

2. I want to get back in shape. Ugh this may be harder than reading 52 books this year, but I will try!

3. I want to focus fully on my business and its’ growth. I learned so much last year and want to make it a point to be the  best at what I do and be the best for my bride and grooms!

4. I will be blogging more! HA! Yes I know I have said this before, but really I am committed to doing this.
